Prowlpad exists to build a curated universe of serialized animal fiction and high-quality editorial content about the human-animal bond. We publish stories and articles that respect our readers' time and intelligence — content that is original, well-researched, and crafted with genuine care for the subject matter.

Our editorial mission is simple: provide content that you would recommend to a friend. If a piece doesn't meet that standard, it doesn't get published.

Creative Process

Every story and article on Prowlpad is an original creation developed under the direct editorial oversight of J.T. Prowler. The creative process involves:

• Concept development — every story begins with a clear narrative purpose, character arc, and emotional direction crafted under editorial guidance.
• Editorial shaping — all content goes through rigorous editorial review for voice consistency, factual accuracy, and storytelling quality before publication.
• Quality control — every chapter and article is reviewed and refined to our editorial standard before it reaches readers.

Content Standards

All content published on Prowlpad must meet the following standards:

• Originality — every story is original intellectual property. We do not republish, rehash, or scrape content from other sources.
• Accuracy — blog articles about animal behavior, science, or pet care reference credible sources. Claims about animal biology or psychology are grounded in documented research.
• Depth — we don't publish thin, surface-level content. Every article is written to genuinely inform or entertain, not just to fill a page.
• Voice consistency — the Prowlpad editorial voice is maintained across all content to ensure a cohesive reading experience.

No Outside Submissions

Prowlpad operates as a closed creative studio. We do not accept outside story submissions, guest posts, or user-generated fiction. All intellectual property is developed in-house under direct editorial supervision. This ensures our universe remains cohesive and our quality remains consistently high.

Corrections & Updates

We hold ourselves accountable. If you spot a factual error, broken link, or content issue on any Prowlpad page, we want to know about it.

• Contact us via our Contact Page with the URL and a description of the issue.
• We review all corrections within a reasonable time and update the content with a note if a material change was made.
• We do not silently delete or alter published content to hide mistakes — transparency matters.

Independence

Our editorial recommendations, book lists, and content decisions are based on independent judgment. We are not influenced by external partnerships, affiliate arrangements, or advertiser pressure when deciding what to publish or recommend. If any content is sponsored, it will be clearly labeled.

Use of AI-Generated Illustrations

To bring our original animal stories and articles to life, Prowlpad utilizes artificial intelligence tools to generate the scenic and character illustrations found across the platform. All AI-generated imagery is created specifically for Prowlpad content and is used solely to support our original creative work. We do not use AI to generate photorealistic images of real, identifiable people.
