When a severe drought dries up every surface pool in Sunspire Canyon, Pascal — a desert chameleon who can shift his scales from turquoise to rust-red in seconds — discovers that a nest of venomous sidewinder rattlesnakes has moved into the entrance of the canyon's only remaining underground spring.
